DESCRIPTION
The BPGSB Prospect Camp, hosted by Miles College, is a collaborative effort between several organizations and individuals. Our goal is provide young softball student-athletes with the ability to showcase their skills via drills working with collegiate coaches and via scrimmage games.
The Prospect Camp is for current 2020-2026 grade softball players who want to showcase their skills through drill evaluations and games

Miles College Staff, headed by Coach P, who is the host of this event. He and his Management team will make every effort to ensure the safety & wellbeing of everyone in attendance. If questions or disputes should arise, please bring it to the attention of Coach P and his team in regards to on-field activities.

Umpires are being provided by Miles College. There will be two Umpires present for each game. Coaches, players, and spectators should treat them with respect. The decisions of an Umpire's call is final
All student-athletes participating should be properly registered. All student-athletes must check-in prior to the start of the camp. Each participating student-athlete should have their own primary insurance coverage. By registering for this event, you understand, acknowledge, and verify any and all waiver as directed by the Student Athletics Foundation, Black Girls Play Softball, and Miles College during registration and within the event packet.
The rosters for game play were chosen at random to ensure that each team had a primary position filled and giving student-athletes ample opportunity to compete. For student-athletes coming from the same organizations, we did our best to keep them together and filled in with individual registrants
Student-athletes should plan to arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled check-in time as the event may start prior to the published time.
The Event's Management Team may modify the number or length of games when necessary due to weather, field conditions, or scheduling issues. This includes modifying the time limit if games get backed up
All teams are required to adhere to local park policies and ordinances. Alcohol and/or tobacco shall not be brought into the confines of the venue. You as an individually are ultimately responsible and accountable for the conduct of yourself, and members of your family

Seven (7) Innings or Ninety (90) minutes. Whichever comes first
*In lieu of this being a Prospect Camp, Event Management, and appointed Team Coaches may alter game play rules so that the game continues up to 7-innings or 90 minutes. For example, if after 3-innings Team A has 12 runs and Team B has 0 and there is still time left to be played, a 5-inning run max may take affect. We consider this as an option to maximize the amount of time on the field for the student-athletes. With teams being put together at random, we have no way of knowing if one team is more dominant that the next*
1. The Team's appointed Coach shall have a continuous batting order to give each student-athlete a chance to be seen by collegiate collegiate coaches. Where student-athletes are placed in the batting order is at the discretion of the appointed Coach
2. The Appointed Coach may have the option to DP/FLEX: Batting order with the (Flex) listed in the last position in the line-up
DP/FLEX RULES:
12 run lead after 3 completed innings or 2 ½ innings if home team is ahead
10 run lead after 4 completed innings or 3 ½ innings if the home team is ahead
8 run lead after 5 completed innings or 4 ½ innings if the home team is ahead

Every effort will be made to make sure base distances, pitching distances, and field dimensions are accurate by host Miles College
No extra innings will be allowed. Games can end in a tie
All teams are required to adhere to local park policies and ordinances. Alcohol and/or tobacco shall not be brought into the confines of the venue. You as an individually are ultimately responsible and accountable for the conduct of yourself, and members of your family
If a student-athlete or coach, he/she will be suspended for the remainder of the day. If the team is batting their entire lineup, the name of the ejected player will remain in the batting order be skipped with no penalty when the batting order reaches that student-athlete.
In the event a student-athlete, coach, or spectator is acting ejected for any reason, they will be asked to leave the premises. If they choose not to, law enforcement will be contacted
If a student-athlete becomes injured (as ruled by the Umpire and/or a Guardian) and is unable to continue playing, her spot in the batting order shall be skipped with no penalty. Once an injured student-athlete leaves the batting order, she is done for the remainder of that game

Following each game, the appointed Coach and student-athletes shall award an MVP trophy to the MVP of the opposing team. This is intended to model good sportsmanship
Student-athletes who receive MVP honors will be recognized on the Black Girls Play Softball Facebook page and the Student Athletics Foundation News page within 48-72hrs following the conclusion of the event
A roster of all student-athlete participants will be given to the College Coaches attending the event. College Coaches will have access to the following information:
